Cold, and dry on the outside

The vacuum between the two steel walls is what keeps ice from melting, and it is also why the bottle does not sweat. No condensation ring on your desk, no damp patch in a bag, no slippery surface when you pick it up.

Stainless steel with no flavour transfer, so yesterday's drink does not turn up in today's water.

The lid

Screws on and seals — it holds when the bottle is on its side in a bag or rolling around a car footwell.

The silicone ring inside the lid lifts out for cleaning. Soak it in two parts water to one part vinegar, or wash it with dish soap. Press it evenly back into the cavity with the tab exposed before screwing the lid on, or the seal will not close properly.

Grip and fit

The powder-coated finish gives a non-slip surface even with wet or sweaty hands, and it resists scuffing better than a bare steel body. At 7.7 cm across the base it fits most car cup holders.
