A 150 cm floor lamp with a 50 cm sphere of natural white feathers, mounted on a slim white metal tripod joined at a matte gold node. It reads as an object first and a light second — which is the point of putting one in a corner rather than a ceiling fitting.

The shade

Layered natural feathers over a 50 cm frame. Light passes through rather than reflecting off, so the glow is soft and diffused with no hard edge and no glare line on the wall behind it. Unlit, in daylight, it still holds the corner as a textured white sphere.

The tripod

Three white-painted metal legs meeting at a matte gold connector. The gold is the only hard detail on the piece, and it is what keeps the lamp from reading as purely soft. The three-point base is stable on tile and hard flooring without needing a weighted foot.

The light it gives

Universal E27 socket, so the bulb is your choice. We recommend a warm 2700–3000K LED — cooler temperatures fight the warmth of the feathers and make the whole piece look clinical.

With a 40W LED you get roughly 2000 lumens through the shade, which lights a seating corner comfortably without being a room's main light source. Pair it with ceiling lighting rather than replacing it.

Where it works

Beside a sofa or armchair, in a living-room corner, or next to a bed in a large bedroom. At 150 cm it sits above seated eye level, so you see the glow and not the bulb.

It suits boho, glam and eclectic interiors, and it works as the single soft element in an otherwise minimal room.

Before you order

The bulb is not included. Any standard E27 bulb fits — LED, filament or incandescent — and you choose the warmth.

Do not exceed 40W. This matters more here than on a metal or glass shade: the fitting sits inside a feather enclosure, and a higher-wattage bulb runs hot in an enclosed space. An LED at 40W or below runs cool and is the safe choice.

Indoor only. There is no weather rating. Humidity and dust will flatten and discolour natural feathers.

Care. Dust it with a hairdryer on cool, or a soft brush — never a damp cloth. Natural feathers shed lightly in the first weeks of use, which settles down and is normal for the material.
