Black Tripod Floor Lamp 152cm - Drum Shade with Brass Details, E27 Foot Switch

A 152 cm floor lamp on a matte black tripod, carrying an oversized black drum shade. Satin brass at the foot of each leg and at the point where the three legs cross — three small details that stop the black frame reading as flat.

The shade

A 44 cm drum in black fabric, 25 cm deep. Wide enough to be the visual anchor of a corner rather than an afterthought, and deep enough to hide the bulb entirely from seated eye level.

Fabric diffuses rather than reflects, so the light leaves softly from the top and bottom openings and pools where you want it — over a chair, a side table or a reading corner.

The frame

Three matte black legs, crossing above the midpoint and continuing up to meet the shade. The satin brass collar sits at the crossing, with matching brass caps at each foot.

The 51 cm leg spread gives it a stable footprint on tile, timber and rugs without needing a weighted base.

The foot switch

The cable carries an inline foot switch, so it's operated with a toe rather than by reaching up under the shade for a socket switch.

That sounds minor until the lamp is beside a sofa and it's the last thing you turn off at night. It's the detail that determines whether a floor lamp actually gets used.

The bulb

Standard E27 socket, maximum 40W. The bulb is your choice, and we recommend a warm 2700–3000K LED — cooler light against a black shade reads cold and grey.

The 200 cm cord gives real freedom in furniture placement; most floor lamps ship with barely enough to reach a skirting socket.

Where it works

Beside a sofa or armchair, in a bedroom corner, or next to a desk in a home office. It suits mid-century, minimalist and eclectic rooms, and the black-and- brass combination sits comfortably against both warm timber and cool greys.
