Crystal and Brass Pendant Light - Slim Fluted Glass Tube 38cm, E14

A slim pendant built around a faceted glass tube, 38 cm long and only 5 cm across, hung from a solid brass canopy. The fluted surface refracts the bulb into vertical lines of light rather than diffusing it, so the tube reads as a lit column.

Cast metal construction with an anti-rust finish.

A narrow vertical form

At 5 cm wide it takes almost no visual space, and at 38 cm long it reads as a deliberate vertical line.

That proportion decides where it belongs. A single one over a wide dining table looks undersized. Where it works is anywhere the drop itself is the point — a row of two or three over an island, either side of a bed, in a stairwell where the length is visible from below, or in a narrow hallway.

Hanging height

The cord is 150 cm, adjustable on installation.

• Over a dining table: 75–90 cm from the tabletop to the bottom of the shade
• Over a kitchen island: 75–85 cm from the counter
• In a row: 60–75 cm between pendants
• Beside a bed: hang so the bottom sits just above the nightstand surface
• In a corridor or entryway: at least 210 cm from the floor

Remember the shade itself is 38 cm, so the total drop from the ceiling is the cord length plus the shade.

The light

E14 socket — the small screw fitting. Bulb not included, and it takes LED, filament or energy-saving bulbs up to 60W.

Use a clear bulb, not frosted. The faceted glass only refracts if the light source has definition; frosted turns it into a plain glowing tube and loses the effect entirely. A slim tubular or candle-shape bulb suits the form best.

Warm 2700–3000K suits the brass. Cool white makes brass read yellow-green.

Before you order

E14, not E27. The smaller screw fitting. Check before buying bulbs — an E27 will not fit.

Use a clear bulb. Frosted defeats the faceted glass.

Order the quantity you need. At 5 cm wide this is designed to hang in multiples. A single one works beside a bed; over a table you want two or three.

This is hardwired. It connects to a ceiling point, not a plug, and installation should be done by a qualified electrician with the power isolated.
